I have never heard of the unit nor have I seen an ad anywhere. That worries me.
The idea of a UPS for a home theater is a good one. The day my system fried, I could have saved a Mark Levinson No. 40 if I had a UPS in my rack. Normally, I have an Audiophile APS "pure power" unit in my rack. Mine is back in Canada getting upgraded thus I am risking it which in CA during the summer is pretty risky. Just last week, I had two major power outages.

An industry source says this brand is no longer in business. I personaly have never heard of them. They also worry about the battery life of the product.
UPS' are IMPORTANT in your theater - no question.

theres a fellow on ebay selling units that he bought a bunch of. they are 7 years old, never used, in original box. originally they sold for $1100. he is replacing the batteries and selling them for $150. i checked and found out that the batteries are still available described as a "standard UPS replacement." even found a website that sells some axxium equipment. aparently this 1000u is their cheapest model. i had never heard of them either so i posted just to see what kind of hits it got. hoping someone had heard of them. seems like a pretty good deal.
