Hey guys,
When you went to CEDIA, did Denon have the AVP-A1HDCI preamp and POA-A1HDCI on display? This looks like some serious AV equipment ($7,000 / each). Looks like Denon is seriously leaning into seriously high end AV equipment. I would be interested in hearing if anyone has "seen" these in action yet. They did not have it at CEDIA, I think it was on display @ CES.
Looks cool, and is feature packed, I'd love to get one soon!

I am trying to buy one of the new AVP pre/pros now, hopefully will have it soon and be able to report back. It looks pretty sweet, now if it only sounds half as good as Denon's old TOTL Reference gear it will be a steal!

The holding company that owns Denon, Marantz, Boston, McIntosh is for sale now and it is rumored that Best Buy is considering a purchase.

If Denon is truly going after the "hi-end", can anybody tell me why they do not support playback of hi-rez audio (at least 24.bit/88.2kHz) over a network connection? The data paths and DACs in this box will support up to 24-bit/192kHz, and that quality is supported over HDMI and their proprietary Denon-Link. There are several sites now offering downloads of hi-rez audio, but very few hardware vendors are delivering the products needed to play them.

Good question Charly, I would also like to see these units work with Macintosh computers as well! I can't wait to get home and play with my new Denon AVP!
