Setting up the 3808 with D*TV HR20 and PS3
I have a new Denon 3808 and am trying to figure out the best way to set it up. I have a HR20 and a PS3 that I am currently running into the 3808 via HDMI. Then I have the HDMI out going to my HDTV. I seem to have to select TV/cable to get it to pick up the sat receiver. I think this is because that the satellite input on the 3808 looks for a component connection and not an HDMI. I also noticed that the 3808 has to be on to get the Dtv signal to the hdtv...anyway to watch dtv with out turning the 3808 on?
Should I have my HR20 in native? Do I set up the 3808 to do pass through. Will the 3808 upscale any SD D*tv channels? Would I be better off running the HR20 and PS3 into my HDTV and then go optical audio intop the 3808...I am sooooo lost. I would be eternally grateful for any pointers! |
