The Logitech Harmony 1 remote has been introduced at CES.
From Gizmodo, Logitech's first new universal remote in a year, the $250 Harmony One, marries the sleek handheld grippiness of its skinnier Harmony models with the power of its $500 bad-ass, the Harmony 1000. The Goods: The capacitive-touch 2.2" color screen is designed to respond quickly and accurately to your taps, while the ergonomically set tactile buttons should meet your general needs without you having to look down from your show. Like its predecessors, it uses an online database of 225,000 products to set up without any annoying codes to punch in. The Catch: It's got a rechargeable battery, which is good for organized folks but bad for forgetful types. Also, PS3s and other new products can't be controlled with IR remotes, making the "universal" term less accurate. Oh, and we're already getting sick of this whole "One" naming scheme. ![]() It is pretty and an improvement on the 880 but I was really hoping for Bluetooth so it would control my PS3 but oh well. I didn't go to see Logitech @ CES but I saw the press release on this before I went. I like the glossy look, but the touch panel is small and I think the 880 is still a better remote with better usability. The new key layout I am unsure of and can't really comment on until I use it, but for me, the Harmony remote I recommend is usually the 890.
You can buy it for ~$230 and it comes with an RF to IR relayer........

I don't know - this remote looks pretty COOL. Like a sexed up version of my hand-held crestron.

I looked at buying one, the problem is it doesn't do RF to a relayer.
Yes, I like the look, the touch screen panel is way too small, so essentially useless, but cool. If it did RF, I would have had one and replaced my 1000 with it! As it is, I think it is pretty pricey for an IR only remote.
