Default 11 Current Universal Remote Reviews

Check out this link for 11 current remote reviews including seemingly EVERY Harmony remote, Philips pronto, Universal Remote, UEI and more.

The world of DIY programable remotes has come a LONG way. KennyT raves about his Harmony saying its SO EASY to program and SUPER affordable. He laughs at me with my Crestron system that needs a programmer for EVERYTHING and costs me a fortune.

True that! My $279 Harmony 890 does everything I need and thanks to the RF control (included for that price) it does it almost perfectly, and I CAN reprogram it in minutes to accommodate any changes in my system...

Now, I do lack the cool factor of the large touchscreen remote, but having had both touch screens and hard button based remotes, I'll take a solid hard button unit any day! I hate having to look down at the remote to perform functions like FF and REW...

I agree it's hard to beat the Harmony remotes, they are so easy to set up & use I even bought one for my parents!
I use the 880 (same as 890 but no RF) & they can be had for around $100.
