Tough call. I had to choose Saving Private Ryan based on originality. Just listen to the opening sequence when they storm the beach. The editors paid such close attention to each and every detail. Underwater bullets, different types of firearms, flames, muffle vs. clear, placement, all of it; blends together quite nicely. Listen to it in a properly calibrated audio system and really feel the action all around.
That said, Terminator 3 is also well done, but not very distinguished from other action films. |

I have to give it to Fight Club as it is one of my all time favorite movies and I could watch it over and over without losing interest... Chcuk Pahlaniak is an amazingly bizzarre writer and they did a great job transforming (literally, changing the story) to fit into a film.
The cave scene is a great demo for balance or a system.

Using DTS, which I love, its hard to beat "Jurassic Park" Whether you like this film or not, the sound of the T - Rex footsteps, roar, growl of the Raptors, it is awesome!!

I still like the first scene in Lethal Weapon 4, first, it's got amazing contrast, plenty of action, explosions etc, and it's the first scene of the movie so it's easy to find!
